Rolando ‘Roly’ Perez passed away July 25, 2020, at the age of 82. He was born April 17, 1938, to Alfonso (Poncho) Perez and Rosa (Guati) Lara Perez in Clifton, Arizona. He was the third of four siblings; Chito, Rosie and Danny.
Our Special Olympian brought much happiness to us all. He was much loved, and his family was dedicated to meet all his needs to give him a safe abundant happy life. He participated in numerous Special Olympic events, even the International Special Olympics in New York. He attended the program in Clifton for those with special needs for over 30 years-it served him well!
He was cared for at Haven of Safford since 2008. He loved it there and wouldn’t consider living elsewhere.
Roly is predeceased by: his mom, dad and brothers.
He is survived by: his sister, Rosie; sister-in-law, Rosemary; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life in his honor will be conducted when Covid-19 is under control. Many thanks to all who have reached out to us in our time of sorrow. Roly will be truly missed but memories are forever.
