Road to 250 Arizona traveling museum at EAC today

Thatcher, Ariz.— Residents across Graham County will have the opportunity to experience a traveling celebration of American history when the Road to 250 Arizona Traveling Museum visits Eastern Arizona College today, March 20, 2026.

The free community event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Eastern Arizona College Mark Allen Hall parking lot and lawn, with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m. Earlier in the week, the traveling museum visited the City of Safford and the Town of Clifton, making the EA event the final opportunity for residents in the region to tour the exhibit locally.

The traveling museum is part of Arizona’s statewide effort to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, bringing interactive exhibits and historical experiences to communities across the state.

Visitors will be able to tour the traveling museum exhibit and enjoy a full day of family-friendly activities including food, music, live performances, a photo booth, cookie decorating, and a roping dummy activity.

A USA 250 Car Show, sponsored by the Hispanic Heritage Corporation, will also take place during the event. The car show will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with vehicle roll-in and registration beginning at 9 a.m. Participants can compete for first-, second-, and third-place trophies in multiple classes, including bicycle, hot rod car, hot rod truck, low rider car, low rider truck, lifted truck, muscle car, and import.

The event is being hosted at EA and supported by community partners including the Town of Thatcher and Graham County.

As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, the traveling museum offers a chance for families, students, and residents to explore the people, ideas, and events that shaped the United States. By bringing the Arizona Traveling Museum to the Gila Valley, EA is helping create a community experience where visitors of all ages can learn, reflect, and celebrate the nation’s history together.

EA is located at 1055 N. Stadium Ave. in Thatcher.
