Ribbon-cutting for new hospital office complex is July 24

SAFFORD — The public is invited to see the next stage in improved access to medical care in the Gila Valley.

Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center will hold a Graham County Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting, and offer tours, of the hospital’s new Medical Office Complex 2 on Thursday, July 24, starting at 9 a.m.

The 32,000 square-foot Medical Office Complex Building 2 will be the new home for Mt. Graham Obstetrics and Gynecology, Mt. Graham Orthopedics, Mt. Graham Spine and Pain, and Roadrunner Rehab.

It’s just one of a number of initiatives the hospital has undertaken to improve medical service in the Gila Valley, including:

  • Mt. Graham Outpatient Nursing and Wound Care moving into Medical Office Complex 1
  • Development of an outpatient pharmacy open to the public
  • Development of Copper Mountain Clinic-Thatcher on the campus of Eastern Arizona College
  • Development of a new Cath Lab
  • Expansion of the surgery suite and emergency room
  • Hiring the hospital’s first permanent oncologist
  • Attain designation as a Level III trauma center
