PIMA — The next chapter in EAC’s growth will occur Thursday.

The college will host a ribbon-cutting for the new Eastern Arizona College-Pima campus’ Skilled Trades Building on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Pima Unified School District is leasing 12,000-square-feet of the old Pima High School to EAC to serve as the Skilled Trades Building, serving dual-enrollment high school students primarily from Pima and Fort Thomas high schools.

“This new facility represents a significant investment in workforce development and hands-on education, expanding opportunities for students while strengthening the skilled trades pipeline in our region,” EAC officials said in a prepared statement.

Following the ribbon-cutting, tours of the facility will be offered.
