Raymond B. Bejarano

Raymond B. Bejarano, 74, of Virden, N.M., was called home to be with our Lord on September 20, 2016, with his loving wife, Margie, and son, Mario, by his side.

Raymond served in the National Guard and Army Reserves from 1960-1968. He married Margie Mejia Bejarano in 1961. He began his life of work at 13 years old alongside his parents; moved on to Romney Produce, construction, heavy equipment operator, maintenance and a school bus driver for Duncan Unified School District.

Raymond is survived by: his wife, Margie; his children, Anna (Ron), Raymond (Frances), Elizabeth (Jaime), Michael (Cindy), Mario and Armando; his 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Ophelia (Isidro) Rodriguez, Lupe Bejarano and Tommy Bejarano; and his beloved pets, Sugar and Lobo.

Raymond is preceded in death by: his parents, Jesus and Candelaria Bejarano; and his brothers, Santiago and Chano Bejarano, Sr.

Raymond was a simple man with a big heart, therefore he requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to: The Gila Regional Medical Caner Center of Silver City; Guardian Angel Foundation – Raymond Bejarano.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Raymond will be celebrated Monday, September 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Mission in Duncan by Rev. Martin Atanga-Baabuge. Committal will follow, with military honors, in the Virden Catholic Cemetery.

A rosary will be prayed Monday, September 26, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Mission in Duncan.

The family will receive friends also Monday morning, September 26, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Mission in Duncan.
