Randell C Evans Obituary

Randall C. Evans, 71, of Thatcher, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 15, 1943 in Safford to Harvey and Corrinne Evans.

Randy grew up working on the family ranch and working construction with his dad Harvey and Uncle Arthur Evans. He was a graduate of Safford High School and was looking forward to attending the upcoming all class reunion. He worked throughout Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico as both a commercial and industrial electrician and was very proud of his Colorado Journeyman’s License.

Randy loved his family and visiting with his buddies at Jerry’s family restaurant every morning. In his earlier years he enjoyed sponsoring many Jr. rodeos and horse shows with his friends in the horse club. He was an avid reader and loved attending Arizona Diamondback games. While in retirement he spent most of his time helping friends and family and attending classes at EAC. He was very loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of forty one years, Donna Evans of Thatcher; sons, Cody Evans (Kari) of Florence, and Reo Evans (Evelyn) of Thatcher; daughters, Robin Cantrell-Cleckler (Kent) of Thatcher, and Mickey Gauger (Bret) of Queen Creek; siblings, Ruene Despain (Gerald) of Safford, Ina Claire Phillipson (Ralph) of California, Alyce Jo Whitmer (David) of California, and Stephen Jan Evans (Jeannie) of Gilbert; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Harvey and Corrine Evans and brother Rondo (Sherry) Evans.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Caldwell Chapel, 112 East Main Street, Safford, AZ.
