SAFFORD —The radio auction to benefit the Safford City-Graham County Library returns this week.

“The 27th at 8-10 a.m. It will be to benefit our Friends of the Library,” said Library Director Victoria Silva.

Simulcast on Kat Kountry 94.5 FM and KATO 1230 AM, the radio auction raises money for the Friends to donate to the library to buy books, audio and video items, as well as pay for programming and concerts free for children and patrons.

The full catalog of items up for auction can be found by clicking here, everything from fine art prints, balloon rides and iPads, to old drive-in speakers and ticket packages to see the Diamondbacks, Cardinals, University of Arizona and Arizona State.

Three lines will be open to take bids — 928-428-4994, 928-428-9494 and 928-428-4544 — and the auctioneer will be Brooks Knight.

The first auction in 2021 raised about $8,000, while the second annual auction brought in about $9,300. This year’s goal is to top $10,000.
