WILLCOX — Willcox schools went into lockdown for the second time in three days Thursday, following a threat made against the schools.

Willcox Police conducted a sweep of the buildings and found no credible threat and investigation found the threats originated from Casa Grande.

Working with Casa Grande Police, a suspect was taken into custody, who reportedly admitted to making the threat as a prank.

The other lockdown occurred Tuesday, when an armed robbery was committed at the Willcox Apartments, across Bisbee Avenue from the schools.

No students were under threat in Tuesday’s incident and the lockdown was enacted as a precautionary measure.
