PIMA —The Gila Valley’s Doug Grant is getting a new title — hall of famer.

The International Natural Bodybuilders Association and Professional Natural Bodybuilders Association announced that Grant is a member of the 2022 induction class for the INBA/PNBA Hall of Fame.

In a message to Gila Valley Central, Grant said he is honored to be inducted.

“The Hall of Fame represents the Olympic level for bodybuilding, because it is drug/steroid tested. I have worked for 39 years educating the youth about the harm of steroids, and providing safe alternative programs that build natural, healthy muscle. It is a blessing to be recognized for those efforts because, hopefully, it helps more people reach their goals naturally,” he said.

The induction ceremony will take place during the Pinnacle Natural Olympia XXV, at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday, Nov. 13.

Grant is the owner of Optimal Health Systems in Pima, which not only produces vitamins and supplements from whole foods, but also helps clients with weight management, as well as energy, digestion and immunity.

He was also co-owner of Iron Man Magazine from 2018-2020, which focuses on drug- and steroid-free workouts and health programs. And he supports and sponsors his wife, Hilary, at PNBA competitions. Hilary was crowned Ms. Natural Olympia in the Masters Division in 2020.
