SAFFORD — Arizona Gives Day is Tuesday and just one local nonprofit is participating.
Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry is accepting donations through the Arizona Gives Day portal, to continue helping feed the residents of Graham County.
The most recent data available from 2024 shows Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry helped 2,451 seniors, 3,930 adults and 3,172 children with food. That’s nearly one out of every four Graham County residents who received assistance.
Of the 2,908 different households helped by the pantry, 158 included at least one senior resident, 160 had seniors raising children and 145 included at least one veteran.
In addition to financial contributions, Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry accepts donations of packaged, nonperishable food items. Volunteers are also welcomed to assist at both the farm and pantry.
Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry distributes food Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1-3 p.m. each day. In May, distribution hours change to 8 a.m. to noon. There is no afternoon distribution.
