One dead in motorcycle accident

GRAHAM COUNTY – On April 8, 2021, at approximately 7:52 P.M., Graham County Communications received a call of a motorcycle accident on West Boulder Lane, off of State Route 366. According to the caller a male operator was possibly not breathing and had injuries to the facial area. 

When Graham County deputies arrived, they found a male with severe injuries, including head injuries, from an apparent single-vehicle motorcycle accident.

The operator was identified as Brendan Garbiel James Harrison, 26, of Show Low, currently living in Safford.

CPR was done by witnesses, law enforcement and EMT personnel at the scene and the driver was transported by ambulance to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Based on witness accounts and the accident scene, the motorcycle was on Boulder Lane, which is not a paved road, traveling east when it went down.  The operator was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The investigation, being conducted by the Graham County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, is ongoing.  The Pima County Medical Examiner was notified and an autopsy is currently scheduled.
