SAFFORD — Area nonprofit organizations are on the job hunt.

Stacey Scarce announced on her social media that she is leaving her position as executive director for Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry.

“I gave my two month notice a couple weeks ago. My last day will be June 22 or 23,” she wrote. “(I)f I find a job in New Mexico before then that is where I will move. If not, I will move to Louisiana, where I already have two job offers. Who knows where the wind will blow! Whenever it stops, that is where I will land.”

Scarce joined Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry in 2019.

Our Neighbor’s Farm and Pantry announced May 5 it is accepting applications for the position of executive director through the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits. The salary is listed at $50,000 to $60,000 per year and requires five to seven years experience in working to battle hunger and poverty.

Also seeking a new executive director is the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties. The position came open following the resignation of Adam O’Doherty in March.

The organization, which distributes millions of dollars each year to nonprofit organizations, school districts and local governments in Graham and Greenlee counties, closed acceptance of applications on May 4.

The job description does not list a salary, but asks for an advanced degree, marketing and communications experience, and experience building revenue and philanthropic support.

Gila Watershed Partnership, which hired Dr. Sarah Sayles as its new executive director in December, also announced it is seeking to fill two positions: a seasonal restoration technician for 32 hours per week at $13 per hour, and an office administrator/administrative specialist for 25-30 per week, at a salary commensurate with experience.
