SAFFORD — A man in Graham County Jail for warrants out of the area is now facing Graham County charges.

During a body search, jail staff noticed Michael Pisarski appeared to be standing on something and refused to lift his foot to show staff.

After being pinned against a wall, staff reported finding a rifle bullet that was being used to hold what turned out to be five fentanyl  pills.

Pisarski reportedly told Sheriff’s deputies he found the bullet in his cell, and planned to sell it and the pills to another inmate for money to be placed on Pisarski’s commissary. He would not name the other inmate.

Deputies talked with Pisarski’s three cellmates, with all three denying any knowledge of the bullet or Pisarski’s plans.

Pisarski was booked on charges of promoting prison contraband and possession of a narcotic drug.
