SAFFORD — A 43-year-old Safford man who had been reported missing by his family since late October has been found and reunited with family.
Graham County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and the Benson Police Department that David Wells was discovered in the Benson area and was returned home to Safford on Nov. 11.
“We thank the police agencies and the public who assisted the Sheriff’s Office in trying to locate David Wells since he was reported missing to law enforcement on Nov. 1, 2024. We are grateful for the outcome and that David Wells is back in Graham County with family,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a prepared statement.
Wells was last seen by family on Oct. 28, and left a note saying he was going to see his father.
There was no information released on who Wells was with at the time of his discovery, or his medical condition.
