Man’s evening brings him in contact with same officer, hours apart

SAFFORD – Authorities were dispatched around 6:30 pm on Sunday in reference to a man that had looked suspicious in the area of Austin’s Auto. An officer arrived in the area and found a man matching the description, crossing the street. The officer recognized the man, from previous law contact. The man stated to the officer that he was not trying to get into the business, but that he was looking for cigarettes. It is reported that the man had two misdemeanor warrants, but because the man was intoxicated, the warrants were not served.

A couple of hours later, the officer was requested by Lifeline to arrive at a convenience store where a man was complaining of pain in his stomach. When the officer arrived, he noticed it was the same man he had contact with hours earlier. When Lifeline arrived, the man stated he wished to go to the hospital, he was then transported to the Emergency Room.
