Lilia Tarango Gaona, of Solomon, entered into rest Thursday evening, September 28, 2023, at her residence with her family by her. She was 90.
Lilly was preceded in death by: her husband, Manuel Quiroz Gaona; her son, Manuel T. Gauna “Sonny”; and her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Gaona Flores and Dan Flores.
She is survived by: her daughter, Connie Gaona Contreras (Nicolas); her grandchildren, Michelle Kuhn (Brian), Dannette Vargas (Carlos), Joe Flores (Joan), Manuel Philip Gauna (Yalonda), Gregory Bauer Gauna (Whitney), Katie Gauna McClure, Kristie Andazola Leal, Peter J. Andazola, Nick Contreras, Jr., Tammy Contreras, and Marni Contreras Varelas; her great-grandchildren, Sophie Vargas, Manuel Jacob Gauna, Joseph Gregory Gauna, Porter Gauna, Quin Ella Gauna, Leo McClure, Charlotte McClure, Joseph Andazola, Belysia Andazola Jackominic, Roq Anthony Andazola; and her great-great-grandchildren, Carter Emanuel Johnson and Amira Grace Arechiga.
Funeral services for Lilly will be conducted Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church at Safford by Pastor Ron Gonzales. Concluding services will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Saturday morning, October 7, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., also at the Church at Safford.
