SAFFORD — For the first time in three years, the Safford City-Graham County Library’s Community Baby Shower is going to be in person.

The event that serves expectant and new parents was canceled at the start of the pandemic in 2020 and was offered as a drive-through service in 2021.

This year, the event returns to the library’s programming room.

“I’ve got over — well over — 10 vendors, community organizations and businesses to offer free information and resources. We’re going to have some baby shower games. As always, there are tons of give-aways to help you with your baby and your 0-1 year old,” said Elizabeth Henley, early literacy coordinator for the library.

There will also be a number of hands-on demonstrations, including how to change both cloth and disposable diapers, how to know if your baby is getting enough to eat, bottle- and breast-feeding and more.

The Community Baby Shower will take place Friday, March 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free to attend. Sponsors include the library and First Things First.
