Few flu cases in Graham County in 2022

PHOENIX —December was the peak month for flu in Graham County, with 46 new flu cases reported.

However, since that time, the number of new cases has dropped off significantly.

There were 26 new cases reported in January, two in February and none thus far in March.

Graham County’s total this flu season thus far is 100, 10 times the number experienced during the 2020-21 flu season.

Influenza A accounts for 90 of this season’s cases, while seven are Influenza B and three are unknown at this time.

Greenlee County has seen 76 cases of flu so far this season, one case of Influenza B and 75 cases of Influenza A.

Statewide, there have been 6,591 cases of flu so far this season, a more than 450 percent increase over last season’s total of 1,196.
