SAFFORD —Two events are taking place in Safford this Thursday.
From 4-6 p.m., the Safford City-Graham County Library is hosting an open house for its new annex located at 814 S. Central Ave., southwest of the Central-8th Street intersection.
The Library Annex will house the library’s Makerspace, which includes 3D printers, a Cricut machine, and a laser engraver. Podcasting and green screen technology will also be available in the coming months.
The annex will also play host to a number of the library’s partners, such as the presentations by the Daughters of the American Revolution and cooking demonstrations by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension.
At 5 p.m., the Graham County Chamber of Commerce’s September Soiree will take place at The Venue on Main.
September’s Soiree will be hosted by Valley Telecom, which recently announced its new CEO is Pima’s Troy Judd, and food will be provided by Fancy Pizzeria.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a Family Feud-style trivia game.
