Leon Edward Bowman of Las Vegas, NV passed away on August 14, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born in Bisbee, AZ on July 9, 1937. Leon was proud of his western heritage and of the years he spent working for NASA. He was a Navy veteran.
Leon is survived by his daughter Quara (Rick) Pyatt and granddaughter Sloan. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Jean Paglia and her children Ray (Lauren), Michael (Lydia) Paglia and Vince (Michelle) Paglia, all of Las Vegas.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Edward “Ed” Bowman and Louise Bowman, nee’ Graham, and a grandson, Brennen L. Bradford.
At Leon’s request there were no services. Leon will be laid to rest next to his parents in the Safford Cemetery on September 3, 2016 at 3:00 PM. Military honors will be bestowed by the
American Legion Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, OK.
