SAFFORD — American Legion Swift-Murphy Post No. 32 announced Wednesday the cancellation of its annual Fourth of July youth fishing derby at Graham County Fairgrounds due to the ongoing pandemic.
The Safford Lions Club previously announced the cancellation of the Gila Valley Fourth of July Parade and the Town of Thatcher also cancelled its annual Independence Day celebrations.
However, the towns of Pima and Duncan are moving forward with their holiday plans, and the Graham County fireworks show at the fairgrounds will also take place.
