Julie Shurtz Bluth

Julie Shurtz Bluth, a resident of Central, entered into eternal life on Friday January 13, 2023, surrounded by her family. Julie was happy, kind, and loyal with never ending positivity and ability to see the good. She fiercely loved her family, her friends, and her Savior Jesus Christ. Her faith, hope and strength were unwavering, even during her 7.5-year battle with ovarian cancer. No matter what she was going through- sick or not sick, cancer free or during treatment, her response to ‘How are you?’ never changed. “Livin’ the dream!” was always her answer. She forever showed all who knew her how to do hard things with a smile.

Funeral services for Julie will be conducted Monday morning, January 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Temple View Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Bill Windsor, of the Central First Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Central Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, January 22, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Temple View Chapel Cultural Hall and Monday morning, January 23, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., at the Temple View Chapel Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Julie’s non-profit organization, T.E.A.L. Out for Women, which provides blankets to women undergoing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. Donations can be made to Julie’s Venmo @Julie-Bluth.
