Joseph L. Huntington, of Safford and a retired United Sates Air Force Vietnam veteran, entered into life eternal Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at his daughter’s residence. Joe was 83.
Joe was preceded in death by: his wife of 57 years, Betty Huntington; his parents, Gordon and Hallie Huntington; and his siblings, Mary Kate Brooks, Loree Jackson, Gordon Huntington, Ruby Caldwell, Lonia Golladay and Homer Huntington.
He is survived by: his three children, Tina (Robert) Wright, Michael Huntington, and Joanne (Michael) Spurgeon; his sister, Linda Hawk; and his two grandchildren, Zachary (Shyenne) Huntington and Iain Huntington.
Graveside funeral services for Joe were conducted Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the Safford Cemetery, where Joe was laid to rest next to his sweetheart, Betty, who preceded him earlier this year. Military honors were rendered by the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Honor Guard.
