Job fairs taking place this week

SAFFORD — Those looking for a new career will have two opportunities this week.

Disabled American Veterans and RecruitMilitary will co-host a virtual All Veterans Job Fair Tuesday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is free to veterans, their spouses, active-duty military personnel and members of the National Guard and Reserve.

More than 85 employers will be on-site representing a range of industries, from construction to medical to administrative and logistics, all at no cost.

Three days later, on Friday, March 18, Arizona @ Work will host a Military and First Responders Hiring Event.

On hand will be representatives from the Marine Corps, Army and Navy, Arizona National Guard, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Arizona Department of Corrections, Arizona Game and Fish, Graham County and Greenlee County Sheriff’s Office.

The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Guard Armory on U.S. Highway 191 in Safford. The Dug’s Blow N Smoke food truck will be serving barbecue there as well.
