SAFFORD — The Gila Valley experienced Thursday its sixth death this month due to complications from coronavirus.
Graham County Health Department reported the victim was a resident of Safford and between the ages of 45 and 54.
That brings the total number of deaths in Graham County since the start of the pandemic to 57.
The Health Department also reported 33 new cases Thursday, with eight in the 85543 zip code, five in the 85552 zip code and 18 in the 85546 zip code.
That brings the number of new cases in January thus far to 1,007, and the total since the start of the pandemic to 4,235.
Greenlee County
Greenlee County Health Department reported two new cases Wednesday evening.
That brings the total number of new cases in January thus far to 59, and the total since the start of the pandemic to 474.
