SAFFORD — Tim and Raven Linden, of III Counties Distributing, were at American Legion Swift-Murphy Post 32 on Friday, to help families who have lost a service member.

The Lindens, Post Commander Eric Taylor and Post Club Manager Tom Sanders joined together to present a check for $10,000 from III Counties Distributing for Folds of Honor.

“We are an independent distributor in Southeast Arizona — we represent Graham, Greenlee and Cochise counties — and through the sales of Bud and Bud Light, it helps us to fund these types of checks for $10,000 to help families in need afford scholarships,” Tim Linden said.

Folds of Honor provides scholarships to children and spouses of service men and women who have died or are handicapped as a result of their service. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has presented more than 51,000 educational scholarships.

“Budweiser has always been a strong supporter of American Legion and veterans in general,” Taylor said. “(Tim) has always taken very good care of us and we just have a nice healthy relationship together.”

Budweiser is Folds of Honor’s longest-serving partner, working together to raise funds since 2010. Anheuser-Busch, and its brands and wholesaler partners, have donated almost $22 million to the cause.
