SAN CARLOS — San Carlos Apache Police arrested a man on possession of drugs and firearms.
Police were following a tip that the suspect, identified as Virgil Stevens, was back on the reservation despite being excluded from the tribe due to a 2021 drug conviction.
Stevens was taken into custody and, following the issuance of a warrant, a search turned up 9 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a shotgun.
Stevens was booked into the San Carlos Detention Center.
