How to do Business With . . . workshop focuses on Freeport

THATCHER — A consortium of entities concerned with the business health of the Gila Valley are ready to roll out a new series of workshops.

The How to do Business With . . . series will get underway with Freeport-McMoRan on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

“Over five years ago, we started talking about what it would like. Is it hosting an event? Is it in person? What does it look like to kind of facilitate businesses getting more connectivity with one another? And how do you create a stronger economic system in the Gila Valley area, Graham and Greenlee counties,” said Sean Wenham, Community Development manager for Freeport.

The virtual workshop will help business owners learn the requirements and procedures to become a vendor for Freeport.

The one-hour workshop will take place from noon to 1 p.m. and there are two ways to participate:

Wenham said the goal to is bring on more of the larger companies and organizations for additional How to do Business With . . . workshops, such as Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center, Eastern Arizona College and the City of Safford among others.

How to do Business With . . . is sponsored by the Small Business Development Center, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Arizona College and Freeport-McMoRan.
