High Peak fire starts Sunday on Mount Graham

SAFFORD — A small wildfire was reported on Mount Graham over the weekend.

The High Peak fire is currently listed at one-tenth of an acre, just to the west of Deadman Highline Trail No. 325, and north of Plain View Peak.

The fire was discovered at 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

It’s one of two wildfires burning in the non-Reservation areas of Graham County.

The Oak fire is located northeast of Bryce Mountain and southwest of Airplane Canyon Tank.

The fire was discovered on Saturday, July 20 and is currently at 295.4 acres with no containment listed.
