SAFFORD — Gila Watershed Partnership is taking applications for three paid college internships for the spring.

“You can be a recent graduate,” said GWP Executive Director Dr. Sarah Sayles. “In fact, I think (it) can be up to 18 months since you graduated, if you are looking for an internship to be able to get into a four-year school or something like that. Or if you just want an internship to see if this is the kind of work that you want to do.”

Interns will work in the field two, eight-hour days each week, January through May, at a rate of $18 per hour.

Applicants must be 18 or older; able to life a minimum of 30 pounds; able to hike, bend and squat; and be a resident of Graham or Greenlee counties, or a San Carlos Apache Tribal member.
