SAFFORD — The Spring Trek for the Graham County Historical Society will focus on the military history of the area.
The destination will be the site of Fort Goodwin, west of Safford near Geronimo, and the Hinton Cemetery. Plus, if time remains, trekkers will have the chance to tour the site of Fort Thomas.
Historical Society historians Hal Herbert and Chuck smith, along with a pair of archeologists and Sharon Hinton will present on the history of the area during the trek.
Thos interested in participating are asked to meet at the Graham County Electric Co-op parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29.
