THATCHER — Graham County Search and Rescue is pleased to announce that it has received a generous donation of $5,500 from the Safford Lions Foundation. This contribution will be used to purchase a much-needed evaporative cooler, enhancing the comfort and safety of the team during their critical operations.
To commemorate this generous donation, a check presentation will be held on August 29 at 6:30 PM at the Search and Rescue Multi-Purpose Training Facility 630 S Dusty Trail, Thatcher, AZ 85552. The community is invited to attend and witness this occasion, celebrating the Safford Lions Foundation’s commitment to supporting local emergency services.
The new evaporative cooler will play an essential role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the search and rescue team, especially during the sweltering summer months. With this equipment, the team can focus more effectively on their mission to serve and protect the community without the added challenge of extreme heat.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Safford Lions Foundation for their support,” said Tommy Snodderley, President of the Graham County Search and Rescue. “This donation is more than just a financial gift; it’s a vital contribution to our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
