Graham County records 35 new COVID-19 cases

SAFFORD —It was a tough Monday in Graham County, with another 35 new positive cases of COVID-19.

Graham County Health Department reported that the new cases brought the county’s total to 431; with 338 active, 87 recovered and six deaths.

Sixty percent of cases have been in the younger demographics, with 171 cases in people 21 to 44 years old, and 70 cases in people 20 and younger.

Fifty-eight of the cases involve those 45 to 54 years old, 47 cases are in those 55 to 64 years old and 85 cases involve those 65 and older.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe announced an additional 12 cases Monday, bringing the tribe’s total to 436. Of that total., 174 cases are active, 254 are recovered and there have been seven deaths.

Most of the cases are in the districts in Graham County, with 152 in Peridot and 101 in Bylas.

There were no new cases in Greenlee County on Monday, keeping that county’s total at 52 — 28 active, 22 recovered and two deaths.
