Graham County nears 700 COVID-19 cases

SAFFORD — There were four new cases of COVID-19 in Graham County Tuesday.

Graham County Health Department announced the cases Tuesday evening, showing the county’s total is at 698. Of that total, 334 cases are considered active, 342 have recovered and there have been 22 deaths.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe announced six new cases and a death Tuesday. That brings the tribe’s total to 763, with 118 of the cases still considered active, 633 recovered and 12 deaths.

There was no information provided on the person who died, other than the person was a resident of the Peridot District.

Greenlee County has now gone 19 days without a new case of coronavirus.

Greenlee County Health Department reports the county’s total is holding at 58, with just three cases still active, 53 recovered and two deaths.
