Graham County adds 58 new COVID-19 cases Friday

SAFFORD — Just 13 days into the month and November is already the third worst when it comes to new coronavirus cases in the Gila Valley.

Graham County Health Department announced 58 new cases Friday.

That brings November’s total to 374 cases through Nov. 13. There were 395 cases through the entire month of October and 381 cases through the entire month of July.

Of the new cases announced Friday, 20 were on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, 19 in Safford, 15 in Thatcher and four in Pima.

Graham County’s total is at 1,620, with 671 of the cases considered active and 31 deaths. Graham County’s positivity rate is 16.4 percent and the mortality rate is 1.91 percent.

Greenlee County added two new cases late Thursday evening.

Greenlee County Health Department reports the county’s total is now at 130, with 37 of the cases considered active and two deaths.

Greenlee County’s positivity rate is 22.7 percent and the mortality rate is 1.54 percent.
