SAFFORD — Starting Monday, a pair of youth programs get underway.
The first of five, three-day Gila Valley Junior Golf sessions starts Monday at Mt. Graham Golf Course, with ages 7-9 starting at 7:15 a.m., ages 10-12 at 8:15 a.m., and ages 13-17 at 9:30 a.m.
Cost is $25 per session and sessions are limited to 10 golfers per age group.
Also starting Monday and running through Wednesday is the annual Eastern Arizona Science Initiative summer camp at Eastern Arizona College’s Discovery Park campus.
The mornings will see participants rotating through three 90-minute classes each day. In the afternoons, the students will break into two groups for another series of hands-on activities.
Programming starts at 8 a.m. and the days comes to a close at 4:20 p.m.
