SAFFORD — Gila Valley Made, one of the anchor stores of Safford’s Downtown, is no more.

During the store’s two-year anniversary celebration Saturday, owners Taylor Ludwig and Tricia Garrett announced the store is rebranding as Copper and Cotton Lifestyle Co.

“We’re excited for the future, and we plan to be here for a really, really long time and support small businesses like we have for the last few years,” Ludwig said. “We’re not going anywhere.”

The store still serves as an outlet for up to 80 different entrepreneurs — most of whom are women — to display and sell their products, and Garrett said the name change at this time just seemed logical.

“Looking at the future and where we want to be in two years, five years and 10 years, it just made more sense,” Garrett said.

In addition to the name change, Garrett and Ludwig announced the store’s newest addition — a special room dedicated to items for babies and toddlers, next to Kendra’s Bridal Room in the store.

“(We) are so very blessed and grateful. We couldn’t have done it without our vendors, our families and the support of everybody that continues to support us,” Ludwig said. “We just plan on building bigger and better.”

The event also saw the debut of a new business in the Gila Valley — Twisted Tin Party Hauls, which brings beverage service to any event.
