It’s been nearly 5 months since Safford native Justin Gaethje suffered his 2nd straight loss in the UFC at hands of Dustin Poirier. He will get a chance to get back in the win column this Saturday night, August 25th, in Lincoln, Nebraska against James Vick.
Gaethje told me on June 28th that he “doesn’t like Vick and will find more pleasure beating him up more than most.” There is no love loss between the two. They both have made jabs at each other on Twitter.
Hey @JamesVickMMA remember looking over at the wrestlers working their a*& off and thinking how stupid they were? Doing the s*%@ they were doing in their dumb tights. All while you were trying to get that ball through the hole.

While Gaethje has lost his last two fights, Vick has won 4 of his last 5. Including a Unanimous Decision against Francisco Trinaldo in February. Vick’s last loss was in 2016.
