Friends of the Library bringing back the live Radio Auction

THATCHER — The Friends of the Safford Library have announced the Radio Auction will return in September.

The third annual Radio Auction will take place Wednesday, Sept. 27, broadcast live from 8-10 a.m., on Kat Kountry 94.5 FM, KATO AM 1230 and streamed live on GilaValleyCentral.net.

The Friends of the Library receives donations of local services and products, as well as ticket packages to sporting events donated by the radio stations, and auctions those items to raise money to buy books, other media and pay for programming at the Safford City-Graham County Library.

Highlights from previous Radio Auctions included limited edition lithographs of Hal Empie artwork, tickets to Arizona Cardinals and ASU football games, hot air balloon rides, Justin Gaethje autographed memorabilia and more.

The live Radio Auction raised more than $8,000 in 2021, and more than $9,000 in 2022.
