Freddie Lee Clarkston, better known as Fred, was a loving father, grandfather, and the best horseman. He was born on January 19, 1949, in Hobbs New Mexico, and passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021, at 72 years old.
Fred was born to James and Johnnie Clarkston. He worked as a Crane Operator for several years in several different places. His favorite place to be, was with a horse on a racetrack. He loved all of his grandkids and a good game of cards. He lived a simple life but was always so happy wherever he was.
He is survived by: wife, Pat Hurston; daughters, Penny Clarkston LeBlanc, Julie Clarkston, and Michelle Hurston; sons, Dairold Lambert, Larry Hall, Mike Hurston, and James Hurston; sisters, Shirley Loffler, Gail Hamilton, Kathy Clarkston, and Jeanie Clarkston; brother, Eddie Clarkston; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A viewing is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, October 15, 2021, and the service will follow immediately after at 1:00 p.m. (post time of course) at the Vining Funeral Home in Safford, Arizona. The service will also be live-streamed and able to be viewed via their Facebook page.
