Fourth of July Parade entries now being accepted

SAFFORD —The City of Safford is now accepting applications from groups, businesses and families who plan to participate in the Fourth of July Parade.

Awards will be presented to entries in four categories:

● Most patriotic

● Most creative

● Most beautiful

● Best performance

Applications for the children’s bicycle and scooter decorating contest are also being accepted. At least one adult or teen must walk alongside children riding in the parade.

Activities on Monday, July 4, will start with a patriotic ceremony in front of Graham County Courthouse at 9:45 a.m., followed by a flag-raising at 10 a.m.

The parade will start once the flag is raised. The parade will start at the courthouse and travel east before turning right at 3rd Avenue. The parade is sponsored by the Safford Lions Club.
