GRAHAM COUNTY — Bald eagles are nesting on Mount Graham in the Coronado National Forest, and the U.S. Forest Service is asking the public to give the birds their space.

Barricades have been set up at Riggs Flat Lake to protect the eagles. The barricades cover an area of about 100 feet around the tree in which the eagles are nesting, near the dam.

Hikers are also asked to avoid the area and alternate trails are available. And drones should not fly near the birds, who may perceive the aircraft as a predator and attack.
