SAFFORD – It’s not just Covid-19 that should have Arizonans adopting good health practices – influenza cases for the year are up significantly.
That’s according to the latest data released Thursday by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
There were 577 laboratory-confirmed cases of flu statewide last week, bringing the 2019-20 flu season total to 29,459 thus far.
That’s up 80 percent from the same time last year. The five-season average of influenza cases in Arizona is 17, 102.
Currently, there are 397 confirmed cases of flu in Graham County – 43 percent H1N1 and 57 percent Influenza-B – and 124 in Greenlee County – 50 percent H1N1, 38 percent Influenza-B and 13 percent Influenza-A.
