First Baptist Church of Safford Planning Vacation Bible School

The First Baptist Church of Safford is moving ahead with plans for a Vacation Bible School this summer. The event will start Monday, June 22 and run through Friday, June 26, 2020. The event will run from 9:00am to 11:00am each day.

“Wilderness Escape – Where God Guides & Provides,” is the title of the summer bible school and is geared for children ages Kindergarten to 6th grade.

Each day, children will become part of history as they see, hear, touch and taste what it might have been like to live in the Bible times wilderness. They’ll play, craft, sing, dance and snack our way through stories and discover the truth straight from Moses – one of history’s greatest God-followers. Participants will learn that God was with him every step of the way in this fun-filled Wilderness Escape.

Precautions will be taken against the virus, but children don’t socially distance! Parents are encouraged to make their own decisions about risk assessments for their children.

They will be taking temperatures and will turn away all children with a fever. Thank you for keeping your sick children home. Hand sanitizer will be dispensed to each child after each rotation. The church facility will be sanitized daily. Organizers are working hard to make VBS a fun and safe place to learn about Jesus!

First Baptist Church of Safford is located at 1109 S. 7th Ave in Safford, across the street from Safford Middle School.
