Arizona’s Democratic Party will hold its Presidential Preference Election (PPE) on March 17, 2020. In order to vote in this Election, you must be a registered Democrat. The Arizona Republican Party has opted out of the Presidential Preference Election this year. The deadline to register to vote in the PPE is February 18.
Arizona State Law determines that you must be registered to the particular party or parties that are participating in the Presidential Preference Election in order to vote. People who are not eligible include members of the Republican Party, Green Party, Libertarian Party and people with no party affiliation: Independents.
If you are not sure of your party affiliation, you can call the Graham County Recorder’s Office at: (928) 428-3560.
If you would like to change your party affiliation or register to vote, you must do so by midnight, February 18, 2020. The easiest way is to go to www.servicearizona.com and select “Voter Registration.” You may also pick up paper forms at any Graham County post office or public library. Forms are also available at the Graham County Recorder’s office, 921 W. Thatcher Blvd., second floor.
Early ballots for the Presidential Preference Election will be mailed out Wednesday, February 19.
