Motorists who use US 60 between Superior and Top-of-the-World will encounter lane restrictions and delays starting Monday, June 29, as crews begin resurfacing the highway.
Crews plan to start in Superior and move east towards Top-of-the-World. Work is expected to take up to six weeks. Work hours will be from sunrise to sunset, Monday through Thursday with a shortened workday planned on Fridays due to anticipated higher traffic volumes in the afternoon.
Flaggers and pilot cars will guide traffic through the work zone.
Because of the terrain, limited sight distances and relatively high traffic volumes, significant delays of more than 15 minutes are likely, especially during peak travel periods.
Drivers should proceed with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
