Eloisa Cardenas Apodaca

Eloisa Cardenas Apodaca or “Locha” as she was affectionately known by many, a resident of Thatcher, entered into eternal rest early Sunday, Easter morning, April 4, 2021, at the Haven of Safford, surrounded by her loving family. Eloisa was 75.

Eloisa was born March 18, 1946 in La Junta, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Juan Pable Cardenas and Octavia Moreno. She met the love of her life, Jose Apodaca, in 1966. They were married in 1969. Together they raised their four children, relocating to Arizona in search of a better future. Eloisa enjoyed being a homemaker, taking great pride in cooking for her family. Her hobbies included crocheting and watching Tela Novelas. In 1988, she suffered a great loss as her son, Jose Ivan, passed away following a tragic accident. The loss of her son was very difficult to overcome. She was able to move forward in life by focusing on and keeping busy with her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eloisa leaves to mourn: her children, Maria Bejarano (Ray), Pancho Apodaco (Susana), Ramon, Yvanna (Lawrence), Cindy (Marcus), Angelica, Panchito, Mario, Victoria and Mikey; three great-grandchildren, Mia Ray, Adriel and baby Chavez; five brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
