PIMA — The newest Gila Valley holiday tradition returns this weekend.

For the second year in a row, Eastern Arizona Museum and Historical Society will host its Pre-Holiday Bazaar.

Organized by museum board member Terry Bryant, the event seeks to fill the gap created when the Hospital Auxiliary stopped hosting its annual Christmas House.

The bazaar serves as a fund-raiser for the museum, as well as attracting visitors who have never been in the museum before.

There will be dozens of vendors taking part, including wire-wrapped jewelry by Mystic Jypsies; woods, rocks and minerals by Erratics, and more.

Plus food vendors will be onsite, including Isabel’s South of the Border — winner of best overall salsa at the 2023 SalsaFest — on Friday, Big Tex Bar-B-Que on Saturday, and Highway Hobo Jerky both days.

The Pre-Holiday Bazaar is Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Admission is free; however, donations to the museum are accepted.
