EAC’s String Orchestra presents Viva Vivaldi: The Great Italian Master

THATCHER, Ariz.—Eastern Arizona College’s String Orchestra is proud to present its annual fall concert which will be held on Wednesdy, October 9, 2019, at 7:30 p.m., in the EAC Activities Center – Lee Little Theater. Viva Vivaldi, this year’s concert will pay homage to the famous composer, Antonio Vivaldi. Admissions to the family-friendly concert is free.

Vivaldi was a violin teacher at an orphanage school in Venice called Ospedale della Pieta. Many children who were victims of plague, famine or other misfortune were sheltered at the school. Vivaldi shared his talents with many, and he continues to influence others with his music more than 275 years after his death.

EAC’s String Orchestra will perform several of his pieces including Sinfonia in C, and Autumn, from The Four Seasons. Admission to the concert is free.
