EAC’s Starlight Strings presents Animal Kingdom

THATCHER, AZ—EAC’s Starlight Strings Concert Series is preparing its annual offering. This year’s program, entitled Animal Kingdom, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m., in the EAC Activities Center – Lee Little Theater. Admission for the concert is $5/person (free for full-time students with ID).

This year’s concert will blend a mix of songs from around the world relating to the animal kingdom including Mi Caballito by John Nieto, Tiger Rag by the Original Dixieland Band, The Elephant from The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens, Duetto buffo di due Gatti by  Gioacchino Rossini, Shark! By I.M. Tiburon, El Lorito Pepe from La Granja deZenon Arr. Franklin Alvarez, La Paloma by Sebastian Yradier, Chasing the Chickens by Raymond Walker & Abe Olman, The Cuckoo by Margaret Casson, The Racoon and the Bee by F. Beyer, The Marriage of the Frogge and the Mouse by Thomas Ravenscroft, and Rabbit’s Foot by George L. Cobb.

“We love performing this concert every year,” said Franklin Alvarez, EAC orchestra director and conductor for the concert. “It’s our first official presentation of the school year and the energy and anticipation can be felt by everyone in attendance!”

The concert is scheduled for Wednesday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m., in the Activities Center – Lee Little Theatre. Admission is $5/person with full time students admitted free with ID. Tickets are on sale at the EAC Ticket Office and will be available at the door.
